Believe me, I know...

...my blog is lame right now!

Here are the reasons why:
•both our computers crashed
•my blogger app won't let me upload pictures
•I hate blogging my from my phone, a lot!

That being said, we are great. We aren't replacing any of our (many) broken/dying/dead electronic type things until Anna's adoption is final and paid for. We feel we are being tested financially because of our pending adoption and Anna is going to win. So, until then, I commit to 3 to 4 posts a month before we replace our computer...in a couple months. Then I'll pick it back up.

Feel free to email me or call!

Good Idea - Bad Idea

Good Idea : Working swing shift. (I really love working swing shifts!)
Bad Idea: Working swings that turn into graveyard shift or mornings that turn into swings. I've done that 3 times in the last 6 days. Me tired but looking forward to the paycheck!

Good Idea: Playing games.
Better Idea: Playing the game Loaded Questions.
Best Idea: having someone super shy read all the answers to Loaded Questions written by a slew of people who lack filters.
Consequence: said shy person said the following which caused filterless crowd to laugh, cry, and possibly pee their pants:
•I want to be a dancer on the mustang ranch.
•I'm gay.
•. . . (the answer to the q, "what makes a great party den better?" ps, . . . means . . .
• he read things which referenced racists, homosexuals and your mom. It was awesome!

There more but I cant remember.

Good Idea: brownies
What I Did: ate them for breakfast.

Good Idea: free books for the kindle (app)
Bad Idea: a lot of those free books are porn! Be careful when scanning for free books on Amazon.

Bad Idea: someone, who isn't me, ate the last brownie! Boo on them.

Good Idea: a nice winter snowstorm which blankets the PNW with white junk.
Consequence: no power from 12 hours - some of our friends are still out 5 days later.
Consequence: the county shut down.
Consequence: the governor declared a state emergency.
Consequence: church was canceled.
Consequence: school was cancelled for a week and it still hasn't started on time which means no AM Kindergarten which means Anna hasn't been to school since the 13th. [is anyone else annoyed by 2 hour late starts for no good reason?!]

We are safe and warm. Our power was only out for 12 hours. Thank you to those who helped with my kids while Ken and I both worked. Mucho appreciated-o

Awkward and Awesome

Awkward

Kyle didn't know who I was when I texted him...Kyle, this is Dedra. I'm your sister. Add me to your contact list.

The only time I've ever heard my dad say my name mean was when he was yelling at my sister, Gina.

The message I got from my dad tonight, "Gina, you're supposed to hang up on Dedra and call me back."

Awesome

Watching My Fair Lady from 12:00-3:00...AM.

Ensign Ranch is tomorrow! 3 1/2 days of awesome. Be jealous.

We have our biggest portion of the money saved for our attorney fees and begin paying on February 10. The adoption should be final in April-May. This is your notice. Start saving for your plane tickets. The sealing will be 6 weeks after the adoption is final.

Okay, that's all I've got. Ttfn

Two more days until...

ENSIGN RANCH!!

It's the most wonderful *weekend* of the year!

You may be asking yourself, what's so great about ensign ranch? Well, here's what you've missed in the last 8+ years...

•Pinewood derby races
•Massive amounts of pizza, so much it is humanly impossible to finish, but. We did.
•Ryan sang (and danced) to the sound of music with Cassie.
•Ken gave a lovely dissertation about Rodgers and Hammerstein.
•Regann only wants the *righteous* priests.
•Matthew, Mayson and Harmon will be working on a 3rd consecutive year of setting off the smoke detectors in room 6.
•Fainting goats, inner family marrying, dancing pigs, and horseback rides-all in the name of scripture study and story time. Oh yeah! I built a *great* house of wood!
•a foam mattress WILL support Matthew or Mayson as a bridge...if Harmon stands under it.
•bananagrams, pit and spoons- oh my!
•but don't forget cranium, encore!, and even more pit!
•Texas dip, bruschetta, and roasted garlic is mandatory.
•Sunday devotional as a family.
•Mom and Wendi playing Qui Vive.
•Gina and me singing opera- badly.
•talent show!! Evolution of dance, violins and clarinets and dancing and singing and much much more!
•old family movies and new memorial tributes.
•extreme ping pong-who needs a table? We're all on the same side. The lodge is our court.
•dad, don't forget the pool chalk.
•what happened to the velvet J.S.? I miss you buddy!
•Sunday Dinner, the guys fry the turkey, I make the mashed potatoes, I'm unclear about the rest. But it's delish!
• We eat some more.
•unfortunately we can only control our choices and not our consequences. Ryan (and some others) stinks, so we also have a mandatory supply of pepto, tums and gas-x.
•We over eat.
•we are sleep deprived.
•we are loud-the kids are louder. (if it's too loud, you're too old)
•we eat breakfast on MLK day at burger king in North Bend.
•It snows or rains almost every year. We don't care.

Sounds like a party right? Oh really? You want to come? Sorry. It's by invitation only and if you aren't married to an Anderson kid, or a child of one, or the parent/grandpa of them all, you'll have to plan your own weekend. MLK is booked though.

I'd like to say we'll be thinking of those not present, but we probably won't be. It's just too much fun! And it's in TWO days!!

I need to get packed.

ttfn!

Ten years ago today:

Robert was born.
Robert passed away.
My life changed forever.

Ten years later my low is:
Not being able to have anymore children. I can't even think about this at times, even though I'm completely content with my kids at home, I always thought I'd have more kids.

Ten years later, my high is:
My testimony that families are forever.
