During my break from blogging I've been sewing a little bit. Here are my current WIPs and accomplishments...
I made this blanket for my SIL who's going to have a baby in November. Adam, don't tell her.
Anna's 'handmade' gift for Christmas
Kate and I are doing a quilt along/swap together. We want to make 9 patch quilts so we are each making 2 copies of 35 blocks ( 5 red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple & pink) then we will swap half of them. Click here to look at her blocks. The idea is to do 2 blocks a day for 35 days. We both made 10 in the last 24 hours. There is a reason we are bffs. Addicts.
Note: The inspiration for our 9 patch quilts are from Crazy Mom Quilts. We LOVE her blog!
Lastly, I am doing another 36 patch quilt. I'm going a little slower this time and I'll probably give it away as a gift. It could be for you! So you better be nice to me and come to my birthday party.
I have 4 blocks done so far. Each finished block measures 11 3/4 inches. 32 more to go.
What did you do over Labor Day Weekend?

I have such fond memories of my mom quilting when I was a kid. Some of my kids' favorite presents she's given them have been their "grandma richardson blanket" quits she made them.
I did nothing as productive as you today! I mostly just sat around and complained about the heat!
I adore Anna's quilt.
